Time for a vacation

Last week of summercoding was not very productive for me. I have mainly been working on Ardour's export instancing/multiplication widget, or more specifically the model behind it, and operations related to the model. The any-number-of-four-different-components-connected-arbitrarily-from-top-to-bottom model is a hierarchical graph, i.e. a bunch of nodes with a bunch of parent and child nodes. And since this model is represented in a GUI that shouldn't jump around, both parents and children have to be ordered.

Well, things got a bit complicated and I experienced a lack of motivation for the first time this summer. To be honest, having done maybe a bit too much work now and then, I had it coming. So, I decided it is time for a vacation. Next week is dedicated for relaxing and, hmm... relaxing :)

Hey, you're doing a GREAT job

Hey, you're doing a GREAT job with this! When i look at the original plans and compare it to the work you've done, almost all of the proposed features got included. I think that's really impressive. Designing an interface is one thing, but making it work the way the designer envisioned is a very complex task.

So keep up the good work! If I can help you test things on linux i'd be more then happy to.

Thanks for the nice feedback and sorry it took me a bit long to answer.
The dialog is getting quite ready and it can be tested by checking out the svn branch (see the project page).

Unfortunately though, audio is quite broken in the 3.0 branches, and thus testing is a bit tricky. The best way to give me feedback is via irc: #ardour@freenode, my nick is SaBer.
